No Seat at the Sofa: The Fate of Poor Nations

                         Author : Rumana Reza

Mr. Dexi has been in this house for 55 years. Every corner, and every piece of this place, got its shine from the touch of his hand. And yet, he has no permission to sit on the sofa and can't dine with the family members of this house. The reason? The reason is that he is just a slave, not the master.
Just like Mr. Dexi, developing countries can't stand on equal footing with developed countries. They can join the United Nations and participate in various conferences together, but they cannot shake hands with the powerful ones. Therefore, when tiny or weak countries talk about dialogues with equity to stronger countries, it sounds like a joke that gives goosebumps!
Dear poor states, this is not the right way to act. Instead, you could bargain by saying that you will find a new master if the injustice continues, or if your master wants to have access to your territory. But don't expect the same equal treatment /respect that a rich state gives to another rich state.
"...Lo! Allah changeth not the condition of a folk until they (first) change that which is in their hearts;..." (Surah Ar-Ra'd,Verse11)
 Translated by Marmaduke Pickthall
So, poor countries! If you have a minimum amount of self-respect and decide not to be part of the same cycle of injustice, then forget bargaining and say straight out immediately that you are leaving your old master. And if you decide not to be slaves forever, then use all your means to achieve a respected status.

The Role of Deep Learning in ADHD Diagnosis (Link in this post)

New AI analyzes brain-wave, not tests, to detect ADHD. This deep learning approach finds hidden electrical patterns doctors often miss. But will it really be successful in giving an accurate report?

Full post-   omniamus.com

My dear readers, you may wonder why, instead of sharing my writing piece here, I am sharing a new link. Definitely, there is a story behind it...

A few months ago, one of my oldest readers informed me that my blog is not showing up on  google search! It was so hard for me to believe it. Anyway, some how I've figured it out that Algorithms or deep web wall has blocked my Blog. After learning this fact, I was so disheartened, but at the same time, I was happy to know that my readers are still coming to my blog, Alhamdulillah, MashaAllah. The thing is, if Allah wants to reveal something, no one can hide it, and if Allah wants to hide something, no one can reveal it. By the way, since then, I had been thinking about a search engine that would not use algorithms in that way. Since computer science is not my educational background, it is not possible for me to create one! Then suddenly, a few days ago, I came to know about this website and decided to write there too (not the same posts as here). This website claims that it is algorithm-free, which is why I chose it as another platform for my writing. Let's see what happens...This is my profile link on Omniamus:

President Donald Trump : Symbol of Contemporary Patriotism

                      Author : Rumana Reza

After supporting Israel's aggression in Gaza, the war with Iran, and strict immigration policies etc.etc. ,a large portion of the world's population hates Trump. People can logically criticize him for his dual policy. For the safety of his country, he has the sovereign power to build a border wall between the US and Mexico. But at the same time, when Iran is determined not to give control of the Strait of Hormuz to the US, President Trump becomes angry!

There are thousands of ways you can point your finger at Mr. Trump for being irrational. But I, as an ordinary inhabitant of this earth, highly appreciate President Trump because of his strict patriotism. He is a man who does not step back from his own ethics. No matter whether it is a just or unjust war, and no matter how the rest of the world feels, he is the President of the United States of America and he only thinks of his own nation—and that is the spirit I admire in him! He might be a menace to many Muslim countries, but he is devoted to serving the people of America. Vice President JD Vance stated to Fox News that the Trump administration's top priority is to maintain cheap oil and gas for all Americans, followed by preventing Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon (Source: Fox News / CBS News, August 14, 2026). This statement by Mr. Vance is enough to understand that while a US attack on Iran might not be justified by many, Mr. Trump still has strong logic in his pocket: his love for his country and his people!

Leaders of the Muslim world should learn from President Trump how to stay firm in fighting for the national interest and how to stay away from hypocrisy. They should also learn how to stand with a brother state just as America stands with Israel, how to stand tall on their own border issues, and how to cross borders for the sake of making their own homeland great!

To the people who criticize Trump: I ask you, why are you criticizing him? "President Trump is still successfully applying the old Roman policy 'Divide and Rule' to the Muslim world to exercise American power. Muslim countries, why are you not united? It's your fault for being the harvest lands of that policy, and Trump should not be accountable for this. He is not selling his own country to anyone; he is strict on the immigrant issue and prioritizes American citizens—that is true leadership quality. Without verifying like the Trump administration does, most of you give permission to foreigners to enter your country, which could be a national security threat. So instead of condemning Trump, apply his strategies and his devotion to his country. By doing this, all your problems could be solved, InshaAllah.

Where Dreams Were Woven, Not Streamed...

                           Author : Rumana Reza

For kids in 1990s Bangladesh, evenings were filled with weaving dreams. On breezy spring and summer nights, they would lie on a Shital Pati out (a type of handcrafted mat) in the front yard under a moonlit sky thick with stars and the Milky Way. On monsoon rainy nights or chilly winter nights, they would huddle in bed by the soft, warm glow of a hurricane lantern (in villages). In six seasons, listening to fairytales and fables from their grandma was a cherished, common childhood experience.

Those days are gone! Yesterday, after a very long time, I read a fairytale book that someone  (foreigner) shared with me—though even the concept of a book has drastically changed by now. In today's digital world, fairy tales are experienced through screens. Instead of sparking our imagination, the characters are given a fixed face. This isn't to say that '90s kids didn't have illustrated books, but there is a vast difference between listening to a spoken tale and reading one. Today, background music is engineered into the experience just to hold a toddler's attention.

Anyway, before reading  the children's storybook  The little Star Wanderer and the School of magic by Józsa Zsuzsa ,  I thought it would be just a typical nowadays fairy tale. But after reading , it hits totally different! It has very deep messages in simple, soft words—not only for toddlers, but also for readers of all ages.Besides, I find this idea interesting too -it offers Free Printable Coloring Book! In the writer's words:

"The musical storybook offers pages that spring to life and interactive play tasks for kids, while gently holding their hand and subtly shaping their inner world to be richer and more beautiful."

You can get this book here :

The little Star Wanderer and the School of magic

Fairy tales might be helpful sometimes for increasing self-confidence. My dear readers, what does self-confidence mean to you? To me, true self-confidence means placing my complete trust in Allah and remaining positive and hopeful about everything, including myself. And all power belongs to none but the One and Only Allah.

The little Star Wanderer and the School of magic got me thinking about how the entire experience of "storytelling" has evolved. Growing up in 1990s Bangladesh, stories were an organic, communal experience tied to nature, weather, and elders. Today, it is a highly structured, digital consumer product.  Yet, I still appreciate the way this book connects with our shared humanity.  While modern media heavily promotes realism and Machiavellianism, this children's storybook encourages young readers to think liberally and be idealistic. This is what I like most about this book. In my view, Machiavellian tactics belong only among the ruthless individuals, rather than being applied to the general public.

Gahwa - A Cozy Drink with Amazing Health Benefits

Author : Rumana Reza

Almost midnight. After a too busy day,I should sleep now. Still some thoughts have kept me awake, though tough to keep my eyes open. And also feeling weak. ...

Have come back to my bed with gahwa. After drinking it,I am feeling so energized,MashaAllah! Now my eyes are happily wide open. Again, I thank Allah for providing me with this cozy drink in the 21st century here in Bangladesh, where the legacy of qahwa/gahwa stems from 9th-10th century origins in the Arabian Peninsula, especially Yemen.  I wonder, why this drink is still such under rated! Except the Middle East , we don't see the hype of it as like as matcha, green tea, coffee etc. Rich in antioxidants, Arabic coffee deserves far more recognition for its health benefits. It protects cells from damage, boosts brain function, and supports heart health. A study shows that this Arabic bean lowers systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure. It works wonders for hypertension, too.(Source: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10303666/ ) . Since no sugar is added, diabetic patients can consume it without a second thought. Blending in spices like cardamom, saffron, cloves, and ginger transforms it into a traditional halal bio active-rich beverage!...Any ways, I'm not a doctor. Just sharing my own experience and basic knowledge.

There are many Qahwa brands available, each with a different taste. Some are mildly bitter, some are not. The Original Bisha Coffee Factory Company is my absolute favorite due to its non-bitter taste!

My mind was occupied with other things, but after taking a few sips of gahwa, my mood switched and I feel like talking about it... sounds funny!

"I want to thank China, President Xi. I was with him, and he stayed neutral, totally neutral, and I appreciate it." "And I want to thank Vladimir Putin, he was very neutral. They could have made it much more difficult for us."

Not Just a Time Frame!

                Author : Rumana Reza

Photo: Taken by Rumana Reza (Author)

When this saffron was packed on June 29, 2024, did the company know that their Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei would be martyred on February 28, 2026, before its expiration date on 29 June, 2026? Could they have thought that Mashhad would be attacked like this? Could they have imagined that the global geopolitical system would experience such an El Niño?

Just like this jar of saffron, people have a birth date and a death date. It is simple to write down this time frame, but between those two dates lies a seen and unseen history—far more than a novel!
Once, Firaun ruled—where is he now? What is written about him? How does history remember him?
Learning from ancient technology and trying to reapply it might not be bad for all sectors, but remember why those civilizations collapsed. Surah Ar-Rum (30:9):
"Have they not traveled in the earth and seen how was the end of those before them? They were greater than them in power, and they plowed the earth and built it up more than they have built it up..."
[1, 2]
Pride destroyed 'Aad and Thamud, two highly technologically advanced ancient nations. The Quran explains that they fell because they rejected Allah's prophets and trusted only in their own power. Surah Fussilat (41:15): "As for 'Aad, they were arrogant upon the earth without right and said, 'Who is greater than us in strength?'"
Surah Al-Fajr (89:6-8): "Have you not considered how your Lord dealt with 'Aad—[with] Iram, who had lofty pillars, the like of which had not been created in any land?"
Surah Ibrahim (14:46): "And they had indeed planned their plan, but their plan is with Allah, though their plan was such that the mountains should be moved [or pass away] thereby."
Our beloved Prophet, Hazrat Muhammad (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam), ruled, but how does history remember him? He is an incomparable human being of all time. Though no human could reach at his level ever, at least  could follow his footsteps.
Let's come back to the present time that we are in now. On one side, children and even pets are bombarded with love, but on the other side, look at how the children of Palestine and Sudan are treated....Policymakers and power brokers should keep in mind that religious values, a moderate path, and justice are must-have criteria for running a civilization successfully.

Beneficiary of the Triangle War : Israel-Iran-US

                                   Author : Rumana Reza

"President Donald Trump on Friday requested a 10% cut in non-defense discretionary spending for fiscal 2027 and a massive $500 billion increase in defense spending, as the United States continues its war against Iran."  (Source: https://www.reuters.com/world/us/trumps-budget-proposes-10-cut-discretionary-spending-increased-defense-spending-2026-04-03/ )

Based on the Fiscal Year 2027 budget proposal released in early April 2026, the overall US federal education budget is proposed to decrease."The Budget requests $76.5 billion in discretionary budget authority for ED for 2027, a $2.3 billion or 2.9-percent decrease from the 2026 enacted level." (Source: https://www.whitehouse.gov/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/budget_fy2027.pdf)

On the other hand,"The Knesset approved the largest state budget in Israel’s history early Monday morning, growing the defense budget to unprecedented levels amid the war with Iran and sending billions of shekels to Haredi educational institutions and other priorities of the governing coalition ..." (Source: https://www.timesofisrael.com/knesset-approves-2026-budget-israels-largest-ever-sending-billions-to-haredi-institutions/ )

According to the TIMES OF ISRAEL, published on 30 March,2026, "Smotrich called the defense package the “core” of the wartime budget, adding that it would allow Israel to “dramatically improve our geopolitical and diplomatic standing” and “dismantle and rebuild the Middle East.”

“ This budget enables the state to win,” said Smotrich. " That means, Israel would be the only beneficiary of  the unstable Middle-East and if Iran gets defeated in the war. Then where is the place for America? Bitter to say but the truth is- " runner-up'' position.  This is absolutely not a good sign to the dignity of  the US as it is counted as topper till now on the paper-sheet.

Here one key difference between the budgets of the US and Israel is  not hard to notice - the education sector. Whereas the US Govt. wants to less contribute to its education with giving  priority on math and improving reading  for American students,Israel sending billions to Haredi Institutions contrary . Now my dear readers, how many of you know about Haredi Institutions?...Well,these private institutions, primarily in Israel and Europe, promote religious law (Halakha) and separation from modern, secular culture in order to preserve their traditions. More specifically,Haredi educational institute is a Jewish faith-based school for Ultra-Orthodox Jewish Communities, focused on Torah and Tahmud  study rather than secular subjects like English and math.

It is so funny discriminative fact that the US is always against the Islamic rules and culture in Iran and wants to see the secular Govt. there on the one side; on the other side, it is going hand in hand with Israel, which is a religiously biased country. The US Govt. wants to be liberal and stop antisemitism in its education sector, but Israel looks for booming Jewish education (semitism) for its country. Israel's kind of bias will affect not only Muslims, but also Christians.

On Easter Sunday,April 5,2026,  an Israeli strike on the Christian town of Ain Saadeh, east of Beirut killed a Christian political official and his wife ..The victims were identified as Pierre Moawad, a local official from the Lebanese Forces party (Extremely against Hezbollah), and his wife, Flavia, including an unidentified woman. ( Source :https://www.globalbankingandfinance.com/israeli-strike-kills-christian-party-official-lebanon/ ) The incident occurred as Lebanese Christians celebrated Easter Sunday with prayers and solidarity, amid heavy fighting between Israel and Hezbollah

Interestingly, while in a separate incident from October 2024, the Israeli military apologized for killing three Lebanese soldiers, yet it has not apologized  for this strike. Instead, Israeli authorities, including Defense Minister Israel Katz, promised  to keep attacking Hezbollah following intensified bombardments during the holiday, with no acknowledgement of wrongdoing for the widespread damage reported .(Source: https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/lebanon-says-least-16-dead-israeli-strikes-eastern-town-2026-03-07/ )

Now let's go back to the Passover massacre of 27 March,2002. It was claimed as a suicide bombing carried out by Hamas at the Park Hotel in Netanya,Israel during a Jewish festival known as 'Passover Seder'. The then US President George W. Bush condemned the attack as a "callous, cold-blooded killing" and stated it "must stop". He also pressurized on Palestinian Authority President Yasser Arafat regarding this.

These are just a little bit examples where  it is clearly visible that the US and the Christian Community have one sided love for Israel and for the Jewish people whereas Israel has almost zero feelings for them. The thing is, the Muslim world stands like a wall between Christians and  Jews. If that wall collapse, then the conflict will begin between Christians and Jews. The ongoing triangle war between Iran and Israel-US making weak both Iran and the US except Israel. You may ask -but Israel is also under the attack? Yes dears, I agree...but at the same time, kindly do some measures on who is losing more.Today or tomorrow Israel had to fight with Iran to make its road clear to sit on the throne of the Middle-East.Now by using the US as its obedient soldier, Israel is having  less effort to maintain this war.

No matter if Iran wins or loses, it is already exposed to the world that the 'Superman' image of America is ruined through this war. Though it may seem like the US will benefit through exporting oil and petroleum products if the Strait of Hormuz is closed, this could be a temporary profit. In addition,If Iran fails, a more lucrative opportunity for the arms industry of the US will be opened— it could come in American dreams! But the fact is, alliance only happens when there are more than two competitors. Two players on the field could not be friends with each other. Therefore, a vacuum of super power has already been created. Now who can fill up this gap?Any member from the Muslim countries ? Any member from the Christian countries? China? - Naaaah!...Why?...Let me explain...Muslim countries are living in the 20th century  with their weak defense / weaponry system . The Christian countries are not poor in arms and forces ,but are not also as strong as Israel or the US. China is technologically advanced , has manpower but not has leadership quality. Then who is left ?
